PDR Training online is pretty much a wasted effort, and we here at SAI forego it for the real deal. We could take the money of 100′s of interested in dent citizens and bank a few bucks here and there, but in the end that’s all that’s gonna happen. People are going to lose some money and learn nothing in reality. PDR is so difficult that learning it online or via videos is pretty much impossible. I’m not saying if someone was 100% dedicated and watched videos and practiced 8 hours a day that they couldn’t learn the basics in 3-4 months and then possibly perfect in 9-12 months, but that’s a ton of time and they still won’t know the access secrets, short cuts and tried and true PDR process secrets that have taken years if not decades to develop by experienced road working PDR technicians. Why spend a year practicing when you could learn the process, correctly, right out of the gate in just 2 weeks instead of 52?
Time is valuable. And repeating the wrong process over and over is very depressing, especially with no one over your shoulder telling you it is wrong. Imagine doing something wrong in PDR for several months only to learn that you’ve been doing it wrong all along.
This is probable by the way- we get people who have tried PDR and don’t realize they have been doing it wrong all along and then either chuck their tools or give up. A small % will come and train and are soon relieved to get the over the shoulder assistance to connect the dots that were missing during their painfull road to self learning.
The good news is PDR is difficult and this keeps the market fresh and unsaturated. There is a ton of money to be made in the business, thankfully, since the technique is so difficult and many just won’t see it though.
